I have read about CrossFit on the internet and always wanted to try it, and I finally did.
CrossFit is basically a continuous workout that consists of purely functional movements - there are absolutely no machines, and the goal is to complete the workout (which is adjusted based on your fitness level) in the shortest amount of time possible.
In order to take classes here, you must complete a 4 week Fundamentals Class where an instructor (Sil or Shelby) will guide you through a work out while giving you tips and explaining the CrossFit manifesto. I really enjoyed my 4 week Fundamentals class and cannot wait to begin the regular CrossFit classes. However what you get out of joining is the instruction, coaching and guidance of nutrition.
If you are curious about CrossFit I would highly recommend CrossFit N6 - The owner here (Sil) is an extraordinary individual. He is very welcoming, patient, encouraging, highly skilled and unafraid to make you work HARD!
For anyone who hasn't tried CrossFit, please realize that when done properly it is safe and unbelievably effective.
